How hotshot pricing works

Three things set
your hotshot rate.

No guesswork and no phone tag. The instant quote prices your load the same way our team does.

Weight

Loads up to 9,000 lb run on non-CDL hotshot rates. Heavier loads need a CDL driver, so they’re priced a little higher. Enter your weight for an accurate number.

Distance

Runs of 500+ miles get our best per-mile rate. Shorter runs carry a minimum, because a driver’s day costs the same either way.

Timing

Next-day pickup costs the most. Give us a few days, or schedule two to three weeks out, and the rate drops. You see every option before you book.

Call (832) 888-0354
What is hotshot trucking?

Hotshot uses a heavy-duty pickup or medium-duty truck pulling a gooseneck or flatbed trailer. It’s ideal for partial, expedited or time-critical loads that don’t need a full semi trailer.

How much weight can a hotshot carry?

It depends on the truck and trailer, typically up to around 16,000 lb of freight on a 40-foot gooseneck. Enter your weight and dimensions and we’ll match the right rig.

Why does weight change the rate?

Up to 9,000 lb, many hotshot rigs can run without a CDL driver, which keeps rates lower. Above that, the load needs a CDL driver and heavier equipment.

How fast can you pick up?

Choose Expedited for a next-business-day pickup window. Your agent confirms the carrier and exact pickup time before dispatch.

Do you handle tarps and securement?

Yes. Tell us if your freight needs tarps, edge protection or special securement, and we’ll include it in your load details.
